Isoflavone is a kind of flavonoid that existed in beans. There’s about 0.2% to 0.4% of isoflavone in a single soy bean. Soy beans contain 12 kinds of isoflavone in different structures. The main isoflavone found in soybeans is genistein which has a similar structure to estrogen, therefore, is also known as a phytoestrogen.
